GIST Central-South Delegate: Honored to Represent Travel Journalists

On March 7th, the GIST Central-South Group was officially established. The group includes 13 members from Tuscany, Umbria, Puglia, Campania, and Basilicata. Anna Bruno, a professional journalist from Basilicata, has been appointed as the Group’s Delegate. Giovanni Bosi, based in Foligno, was named Deputy Delegate. With the creation of the GIST Central-South Group, there will be stronger regional representation to foster and strengthen local initiatives in tourism media and communications.

On March 7th, theGIST Centro Sud Group was established. It is made up of 13 members from Tuscany, Umbria, Puglia, Campania, and Basilicata. Representing the Group is the delegate from Basilicata, Anna Bruno, a professional travel journalist. Giovanni Bosi, from Foligno, has been appointed Deputy Delegate. With the formation of the GIST Centro Sud Group, there will be greater territorial representation to develop and strengthen local initiatives linked to the world of tourism information.

Anna Bruno (in the photo above) is a professional journalist, freelance for several outlets in the tourism sector. She took her first steps as a reporter at La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno. She later collaborated with travel (travel and food) and technology magazines, writing for leading sector magazines including Viaggi e Sapori and Gente Viaggi. In 2001, she founded FullTravel.it, an online travel magazine, for which she is still the editor-in-chief. A passionate traveler, she likes to point out that for her “travel is not the destination but the collection of emotions you experience along the way” and that she “travels to live a thousand years.” Already a Board Member of the Order of Journalists of Basilicata (2013–2017), Anna Bruno is currently a member of the National Commission for Self-Employed Workers of the Italian National Press Federation (FNSI). Also an expert in digital topics, in 2001 she wrote, for Jackson Libri, “Viaggiare con Internet” with the aim of combining the world of travel and that of technology.

Giovanni Bosi is the editor-in-chief of TurismoItaliaNews.it, the online daily and printed magazine dedicated to tourism, specializing in cultural tourism, wellness, food and wine, vacation destinations, sports and leisure, business tourism, transportation, and collecting.
